So... i had to disconnect in a pinch. i really apologize. but please understand, i still have an exam this week (i'd say i am mostly prepared this time around) and i am not supposed to be online, as you might understand. i logged in solely for meeting up.
in the meantime, you were saying i should unlock some things, but i think Guennek was explaining that in the moment i had to leave. could you please explain? that way, next week (when i am FINALLY on vacation 24/7) i could have that already. i saved up 200 certs since the application. is it enough?

In-game name: SirShockwave Game Time - What time of day are you active? (Please specify your timezone) : GMT +0 (London). I can be on any time during the day, but it usually leans towards Afternoons. Prefered Class: : Medic, Engineer or MAX Playstyle:
Let the other guy do his job, at any cost. Generally, sending me out on the frontlines without a MAX Suit tends to be a bad idea as it tends to result in all manner of humiliating deaths. With a MediTool or Engineering Kit however, I can work at fixing people up and generally allowing people to do their jobs. I am also a dab hand at Vehicular Warfare, so long as nobody asks me to fly a Mosquito (incidentally my most impressive kill was aboard a Liberator - took down a Scythe with it's BELLY GUN) Current Outfit: N/A Why do you want to join us?: I've been a part of two previous TR Outfits - Chimera and another whom I forget the name of. I did very much enjoy my time with Chimera, and was even appreciated. In kind, it was often I would drop what I was doing and run halfway across the field towards one of our men who'd been incapacitated just to get him back on his feet. Things were going well until a member I was never able to identify started bullying me on Teamspeak. I left shortly after, not being able to do anything else about it. My second outfit did not go as planned. The morning crew were an alright bunch, but raid night was a disaster - I was frequently cussed at for no reason, the plan usually just involved following the Zerg and I was teamkilled. Often. On purpose. So naturally, I left. So why am I considering the Knights? Well... - A sense of purpose and direction. Without it I'm just running around like a headless Zergling wondering what the fuck's going on.
- I read about the Armoured Assault Pioneer Corps in the brief and was interested, my main strengths being Vehicle and MAX based combat (y'know, when pushed into combat).
- You have an awesome outfit name.
- And more importantly, I'm trying to have fun with Planetside 2. The problem has just been finding the right outfit. Running around as a Zergling joining pub squads? Not fun.
Where did you hear about us / Who referred you?: Nobody, I saw the advert on the Planetside 2 forums. A fair Warning: I'm going to be rather rusty, having not touched Planetside 2 for some time. I should also warn that I am a mentally disabled individual. I'm still high end so it won't interfere with my duties, but it'd be unfair if I didn't warn you about these things.

Hello Shockwave !
Sadly the Armored Pioneers are on hiatus. Otherwise your support skills are interesting and I'm sure you'll have more time to gun and heal when the squad stick together. Until we further analyse your application, you are welcome to join today's event.

Until we further analyse your application, you are welcome to join today's event. Welcome to the group, was good to meet you. If you need any advice on Combat Medics and assault rifles, feel free to ask me So after our little skirmish together, I've reached the following conclusions: - Yep, still better with a MediTool/Engineer Kit than a Rifle owing to my derpy reaction times and poor aim.
- MAX is even more viable now there's no respawn timer on them. Still going to need to give it some Certs though. I have the weapons but it's a lot less durable than it was.
- Speaking of, a lot of Certs seem to have gone. I was lucky I was able to find and acquire my old Revive Grenades for my Medic and upgrade the Tool a few levels.
- On that note, a lot has changed since the last time I played - from big things like the Implants to little things like the Valkyrie Dropship. It's gonna take time but I should adjust.
- Probably the most damning thing is that I need very clear orders to function well. Otherwise I'm clomping round a Warpgate in a MAX being useless or running around trying to find the squad and generally being useless.
- We should all beware Infiltrator MAX Suits.
Overall though, I had more fun in my outing with the Knights than my previous Planetside experiences. Still not 100% if I'm a right fit for the Commando's, but I'm sure I can still be useful somewhere.

Hello Shockwave! I'd like to add some more detail about the current status of the Armored Assault Pioneer Corps (AAPC). The main reason for it's hiatus is me having a limited internet connection (10 GB up/download volume per month). Since no one steps up to properly do stuff with interested people it's just floating around without any purpose except for one or two events we had. In addition to that comes my hate relationship to Planetsides vehicle damage model ( not every hit should cause damage to an armored vehicle, you could say i'm a bit spoiled by World of Tanks and Warthunders damage model - Damage done evolving around shell penetration) But i'm still drawn towards my "baby" the sunderer and the prowler. So if we get around 3-5 people saying "hey i'd like to participate in regular AAPC Events" i'd be there to host them. A weekly or biweekly event shouldn't drain my connection too much. I'll post the rally in the AAPC section of the forum where you once your application is done can answer regards Joe

Don't worry @sirshockwave, you and nonotinthefaceplease did well for a first time in all this. It's true that people like Gwennec and myself who have been playing for more than 3 years will forget to tell you about notions that are automatisms for us now. Like for the problem you pointed out, joining the squad then taking the max at the base we'll defend. Do not worry, you will get those reflex too. Those problems might also come from my accent of course, and I apologize for that. About battle medics, the perfect mastery is probably when you can kill the enemy and revive, as well as tactical positioning alongside the squad ; but it obviously requires practice, we don't expect that from you at first. You both have discipline and you seem to be able to learn correctly so it's just a question of time before you reach more experienced players' skills.

I didn't want to say because it might have been rude, but I do have some difficulty with listening to accents - not just yours but anyone with a distinct accent may need to repeat orders a few times. That said as shown I can follow orders and I at least try to work towards assisting the squad. Honestly I'd probably suck even worse if I tried Lone Wolfing things, so... ^^;

We even managed to get our outfit name printed on a base capture as the top TR outfit with just 4 of us so you guys did a good job we did??! wow! i didnt notice well, much like Shockwave said, i had a helluva time last night. seriously. it was awesome. you guys are awesome. it's not everyday we have the rare chance of seeing someone like you and Etrusk just walking around, guns blazing, dropping people left and right, without giving a sweat. sight to see. my opinion, is that with more training on my part, we could do insane things. the way just the few of us managed to accomplish so much solely with organization baffles my understanding of this game. a little squad of 5 guys basically did more, and better, than 60 zergs in that biolab battle. food for thought. anyway: after yesterday, i seriously made up my mind once and for all: i will main Medic and infiltrator. my next cert purchases will most likely gravitate towards revive nades, EMP's, landmines, C4, meditool upgrades (only 2 left for maxing it out ) and later on, new weapons. also, i have a question: exactly at which time of the day can i effectively, and reliably, find you guys online?

Game events are the best bet to meet us. Otherwise, for the Squad Leaders, Cactus is really active from the afternoon (but away at the moment), you can also meet Hawkensang at that time. For Gwennec, Kanjzo and myself, it'll usually be in the evening.
Good idea for the medic/infiltrator combo. If you got some certs to waste, you can also invest them on detection devices for the infiltrator, it's their main use for the rest squad when we are on the defensive.

I'm mostly around in the evenings myself, work keeps me away during the day. I'm usually around most evenings though and always available on Steam.
